What to expect from Mena's All-Inclusive Fly Fishing Trip
- Meeting point – Cancun Airport, Merida Airport or Resort. We track your flight in order to be waiting for you at the friends and family exit. Don’t worry about time in customs, we will be waiting for you.

Private transfer from Cancun or Merida to San Felipe, Yucatan. Consider a 3.5 hours drive. Our vehicles are very comfortable with A/C in order to have a pleasant ride.
We must add that since you are with us, you become part of the family. So we can split the ride in 1.5 hours sessions, stop for some coffee, toilet, or whatever you need in order to make the ride easy to digest. - Arrival at Hotel San Felipe de Jesus.
Once we arrive, our family will receive you with a welcome Mena Fly Fishing kit, show you around, and let you go to your sea-view room.
- Dinner or lunch according to the time (3 meals a day included).
We focus on making your experience unique, and we believe that food is one of the most important parts.
Breakfast.
The most important meal of the day. The base of the breakfast are: eggs, bread, fruit, juice, and coffee. However, every night, Fili we’ll ask you how you want your breakfast to be: Mexican, with longaniza (Mayan Chorizo), omelette, add hotcakes, as you prefer from the options available.
Lunch and dinner.
We have no specific menu, it all depends on the catch of the day, and the ingredients available in the village. But it’s mainly an appetizer, a main dish with fresh protein, a sider and a dessert.

The fishing program is designed to make the best of the day with a split schedule, with morning fishing lasting until noon, a three-hour break in the middle of the day for lunch, “siesta,” rigging, fly-tying, etc., The sunset fishing session modifies the tide and the conditions for a totally different fishing session.We are the Only fishing lodge in San Felipe Estuary, which allows us to make the split day.
San Felipe is known as The Tarpon Capital of the world as the combination of climate and hydrological characteristics makes us one of the most prolific spots of baby tarpon.
We have baby tarpon from 5 to 20 pounds all year long! During July, August, September and October we get the visit of Silver Kings up to 165 lbs.
Tarpon shares his environment with Snook, Permit, Bonefish, Jack Crevalle and Barracudas.
- Departure day, we’ll bring you back to the airport or any resort in case you are extending your holidays in Cancun. If your flight is later on the day, we will still take care of you with food and a good time with the family.

- 3 Complete Meals a Day: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Two fishing sessions a day. We are all about fishing and the hotel is by the estuary. The fishing program is designed to make the best of the day with a split schedule, with morning fishing lasting until noon, a three-hour break in the middle of the day for lunch, "siesta," rigging, fly-tying, etc., and then an evening fishing session lasting until sunset. The program can modify depending on the weather and tide, but will be communicated by your expert fishing guides in order to get the best fly fishing session.
