Baby Tarpon All Year Round
Mena Fly Fishing sets the standard for world-class fly fishing for baby tarpon. Ranging from 5 to 25 pounds, these fish thrive in a variety of habitats, including open turtle grass flats, mangrove-lined lagoons, creeks, and shallow bays.
On calm days, it’s not uncommon to see pods of tarpon rolling and slashing bait across the flats.
Migratory Tarpon "Silver King"
During the months of June through August, migratory tarpon ranging from 40 to over 100 pounds inhabit the waters near Mena Fly Fishing.
When weather conditions allow, especially on calm, low-wind days, anglers have the opportunity to target these legendary “Silver Kings.”
