Cold fronts can affect fishing conditions, but they can be tracked ahead of time. If you’re flexible with your travel dates, Winter Shads is your chance to land awesome tarpon for a lot less.
What's included
- 8 hours fishing a day: Split-day signature fishing with an expert guide
- Sea-view Accommodation
- Three meals a day (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

- All prices are per person in US Dollars.
- Non-angler rate: $150 per night (when paired with an angler booked at the single occupancy rate)
- Private roundtrip transportation from CUN or MID for up to 6 passengers - $750

Why Is It So Much Cheaper?
Summer is our busiest season. The weather is usually great, fishing is excellent, and many anglers book their trips months in advance. Winter fishing can be just as good, but cold fronts can affect conditions and require some flexibility.
The tarpon are still here, and cold fronts can be tracked!
We’re offering winter trips at a fraction of our regular summer prices for anglers who are comfortable adjusting their plans if needed. You get the same fishery, guides, and passion for tarpon fishing—without paying peak-season prices.
How Does Rescheduling Work?
Book your trip in advance, and we’ll keep an eye on the forecast. If a cold front is expected to affect your fishing experience, you can reschedule at no extra cost, subject to availability.
Please keep in mind:
Winter Shads trips can only be rescheduled to dates between November and March.
If you’d prefer to move your trip to the summer season, you can do so by paying the price difference between the Winter Shads Package and the Silver King Experience.
The bottom line: If you can be flexible with your dates, you can enjoy the same Mena Fly Fishing experience at a much lower price.
